I've been a very blessed girl. Because of my career choice and the many opportunities provided, I was able to go through 3 very different universities and stay in 3 very different student hostels during my university journey. Counting my blessings tonight by recapping the 3 schools I've been in and my 3 cosy little rooms in the respective hostels! Really glad that I'm finally embarking on my career proper and moving home permanently after these 5 years, but I'm overwhelmed with emotions tonight too. I know things are going to be very different from now on and I'll definitely miss the times as a student, but I'll be brave and positive and try my best to embrace what's in my way! :)
1) NUS // Sheares Hall
(one of my favourite study spots in NUS - UTown Starbucks)
(A516 - the room i stayed in during my 4 years in sheares :D)
(messy but cosy nest)
(missing the days when i could just open my door wide and disturb my neighbours)
(block A batchmates for 4 years <3)
(the biggest pillars of support during my entire university journey <3)
2) Tsinghua University, Beijing // International students hostel
(Tsinghua University, Autumn)
(Tsinghua University, Winter)
(messy table filled with letters to remind me of love back home)
(the room where i felt homesick so often, but these photos and letters were what kept me going)
(first day of snow in beijing in 2011)
(really miss the carefree days i had on exchange in beijing, also a place where i learnt so much about myself and learnt who will always be the friends who will be there for me :D)
3) NTU / NIE // Hall 8
(NIE was one of the most difficult periods during uni life, in my opinion, with the super duper heavy workload, but looking back, i'm glad i went through this journey because it has made me grown so much more stronger and independent)
(the day i crawled out of bed and reached school at 7 in the morning to study)
(lovely spacious room that i moved out from today! ><)
You get a strange feeling when you're about to leave a place. Like you'll not only miss the people you love but you'll miss the person you are now at this time and this place, because you'll never be this way every again. -Azar Nafisi
